Denton School Social Worker

Hi! My name is Jaclyn Mirabile and I am your school social worker at Denton Avenue! I graduated Fordham University with my Masters in Social Work and went on to work in NYC public schools before coming to Herricks. I love working in elementary schools and spending time getting to know students both inside and outside of their classrooms. I provide counseling both individually and in small groups and also facilitate full classroom social emotional lessons.

Topics I focus on include:

• self-esteem,
• goal setting,
• conflict resolution,
• resiliency,
• stress management,
• coping strategies,
• family changes, and much more!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, getting some exercise and going on hikes. I can support both students and their families in a variety ways. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns about your child.
